Having received a comprehensive redevelopment recently, this store is now substantially larger and has even more to recommend it.
A vast display tank housing a community of Malawi cichlids sits beside the entrance to the store and the well-stocked marine section is one of the first sights that greets customers on entering the shop.

Tropicals are a speciality of this store, with many unusual species offered alongside a good range of community fishes. In addition to fishes from lakes Malawi and Tanganyika, a range of Central and South American cichlids is always in stock with large specimens often available. Oddballs are well represented for those with a taste for the exotic and a number of the staff are particularly knowledgeable on the demands of keeping these character fish. With fish arriving from suppliers worldwide, many species can be obtained to order for customers with more specific requirements. As with all of our stores, great care is taken to ensure that potential fishkeepers are made aware of the commitment keeping any fish entails and a number of species are only available to customers able to provide the conditions required to enable them to thrive.

Fancy goldfish are stocked in a variety of sizes and grades from durable comets for your first aquarium up to more sensitive varieties for the advanced coldwater fishkeeper. Marine fishes and invertebrates enjoy a good following here and a display tank offers inspiration if the sight of gloriously coloured fish and corals in the adjacent system isn't enough to tempt you to consider a move to a marine aquarium. Our staff are happy to guide you through the many pitfalls that can confront the inexperienced hobbyist and ensure success and a stress free set-up for both you and your pets. The recently redeveloped pond section to the rear of the store caters for the koi keeper with both a substantial pool for larger specimens and two further systems housing a variety of quality fish. All stock is from KHV and SVC free sources ranging from small UK bred specimens to hi grade Japanese fish for the more discerning enthusiast and named varieties can be sourced to order through close links with renowned breeders. An extensive range of fish is available for any scale of pond, including Shubunkin and Sarasa comets, Orfe, Tench, Rudd and such oddities as Sterlet sourced from UK breeders. An extended range of watergardening equipment and sundries including a wide selection of water features can also be found in the pond section and a seasonal stock of aquatic plants joins the preformed pools and pond liners that are carried year-round. Working displays offer ideas on how best to maximise the potential of preformed waterfalls, stone columns and other garden design features. Further essentials such as pond pumps and medications are housed inside together with a full range of items to make your pond a source of pleasure and relaxation.
